Arkansas Department of Education has a program that covers up to the cost of childcare birth through pre-Kindergarten. Many local facilities accept this program (on the website you can find the full list that accepts voucher program) and you can have you child attend your choice of these facilities at little or no cost to you once your application is approved. We also serve all local daycares with PT, OT and ST and those services can be provided at little or no additional cost to you as well (if you qualify for Medicaid Part A or B).
ARKids First is full health care coverage for children under age 19 that covers the costs of therapy, well-child checkups, doctor visits, immunizations, medications, eye exams, and other medical services such as equipment and orthotics. Eligibility for ARKids is based on the size of your family and your household income. There are two categories of ARKids that you would qualify for upon review of application: Part A and B. While some people do not have to pay any costs for ARKids (Part A), some households may have to make payments at the time of service (Part B), known as a co-pay, based on their incomes.
The Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) is a Medicaid program that can help children younger than 19 years old who have a recognized disability. This program helps children with disabilities get Medicaid services that they might not qualify for due to not meeting income requirements for Medicaid. Children qualify for the TEFRA program based on a medical review process. TEFRA covers therapy of all kinds, well-child checkups, orthotics, equipment, immunizations, eye exams, dental checkups, and much more. Some TEFRA clients must pay a monthly premium payment for services which is based on income.
