What do I need to do to schedule an appointment or evaluation?

We are accepting new patients! To schedule an appointment or find out the next step to schedule an appointment, you can call our office at 870-701-0273 and speak with our Patient Care Coordinator. She will be able to answer any questions you have about getting an evaluation.

Does my child need a referral from the doctor?

Depending on your insurance, your child may require a referral. Once we talk with you, we can request the referral from the PCP or let you know to schedule an appointment with your PCP to obtain the referral if needed. Once received, we can schedule the evaluation as soon as possible.

If my child had an evaluation somewhere else, can they still come to TOTAL Kids?

Yes, absolutely! Most evaluations are good for up to one year. We will need to review the evaluation prior to scheduling your child’s first visit. You can either email the evaluation to contact@totalkidstherapy.com, fax it to 870-701-0110, or you can bring a hard copy into the clinic, and we will make a copy.

How long will my child’s appointment last?

Appointments are typically between 45 minutes to 1 hour, however if your child is tested by additional therapists or receives therapy for more than one discipline it could last longer.

My child qualifies for therapy, now what?

After your therapist performs the evaluation, they have one week to turn the report into our administration office. If your child qualifies for therapy, we will send a message to you through the Fusion portal. If required by your child’s insurance, we will send paperwork to your child’s PCP. After we have received the proper paperwork back from your child’s PCP, we will contact you to set up the therapy sessions. Please note that the therapist who performed your child’s evaluation may or may not be the same therapist that will provide treatment.

How often will my child receive therapy?

The amount of therapy that your child will receive is based on your child’s specific needs that are determined by the evaluating therapist. When notified if your child qualified or not, the therapist will let you know how many minutes per week the child qualified for.

My child attends daycare because I work all week, do you have after school hours or go to the daycare?

No problem! At TOTAL Kids we have therapists who go into our local daycares to see children. We also have some therapists that have later, after school, in clinic hours. When you are contacted to schedule an evaluation, let the Patient Care Coordinator know which daycare your child attends and what days/times they are there, and we will see your child at the daycare facility if that better fits your schedule.

How much will my child’s therapy cost?

If you have medical insurance, TOTAL Kids will bill your claims out to your insurance provider**. If you have a copay, deductible, or co-insurance you will be responsible for the amount owed. These amounts are set by your insurance provider.

If you do not have medical insurance, we do offer self-pay packaging. Please call our office at 870-701-0723 to speak with our Patient Care Coordinator about the multiple packages we offer.
